A big shout out to all those that have been inspired, fascinated and have invested in our favorite city - Dubai! And for all those that havent, I'm glad to make your acquaintance.

This blog is in partnership with my freinds at DubaiBuy.info, the online portal that wants to turn the real estate market upside down - literally! Allow me to explain - Usually buyer Smith flies into Dubai from wherever seeking to buy property. Soon after his search he realizes he is confused. Through my years of selling real estate I see this all the time.

Now this will change!! DubaiBuy will have real estate developers chasing potential buyers because once that form is filled they will be competing for your sale and allow you to chose those properties that have fit your criteria.

So let me begin by asking everyone out there to tell me what their experiences with Dubai real estate has been...

Buyer Smith here!(LOL)
I can't seem to find anything suitable, mainly because nobody knows where anything is, nobody uses voicemail and nobody returns calls anyway.
It's hard to envisage what you'll be getting in the end, when its only a pile of sand right now. I'm also not happy parting with my cash when no one has a clue when my home will be finished.
To say I'm confused, Debbie, is an understatement. Can you help?

Your friends at dubaibuy.info have helped clear up the smoke and mirrors, at least now I'm getting sensible offers from developers and realtors, I even got a great deal on flights!

It's no wonder when all the addresses are like chemical formulas.

Geez, you guys should be making it easier to buy real estate. I still haven't found a good broker in Dubai who is interested in helping me, their staff are so rude and uneducated. Is dubaibuy.info going to work any better?

I have already invested in Dubai, and I started my search with dubaibuy. I just want you to know that there was no confusion, but a lot of choice. I was contacted by 4 agents within the first day.
No complaints here.

I am a Physician based in New Jersey and have been intrigued by Dubai for the last couple of years. I finally decided to go there for vacation in DEC of 2006 with my family. While my visit was primarily for holiday, I also wanted to invest in an apartment that we had been saving up for as a vacation home. After visiting Dubai I had decided that I was going to invest there, rather than Baja Mexico.

But buying property in Dubai is not easy. Customer service is not the best and people are just not proactive (even when they are making commissions!).

I came back to the US quite disappointed that I could'nt get my hands on the right people to talk to - almost felt as if no one is interested in talkign to me.

Frustrated, I wanted to write to these companies on a $2 million customer they just lost out (that was teh amount of savings I wanted to invest in my vacation home). While searchign for the real estate companies only, I came across your website, Dubaibuy.info. At first i was amused, that someone actually claimed to say that 'developers would chase me for my sale'. But then I said what the hell, I filled out my information not expecting much.

Three days later (I had sent it during a Friday which is a holiday there in the UAE), i was surprised to find 7 emails from real estate developers all wantign to sell to me. Not only that they were trying to match exactly the criterias i had listed in form - Beach view, villa, only in Dubai, etc. I was impressed. I had also requested travel information and had an offer by an airline wanting to offer me the latest fare on the route from New York! How clever? They probably saw that I lived in NJ and knew that if I am a captive customer if I will buy a house there.

To cut a long story short, after contacting a few of those developers, I am a proud owner of a sea facing apartment (I realized all the villas had been sold out but oh well cant get everything you want!). I am going to Dubai this week to finalize the payments and sign the contract. The sales person is actually going to pick me up from the airport (talk about customer service turn around!).

Thank you DubaiBuy you have made me a fan of Dubai and I have referred this site to friends that talk about Dubai!
